Searching and browsing CultureSource.ca

You can find CultureSource.ca Resources by searching for one or more specific terms, or you can filter your search by grade and/or subject areas. You can also search the entire site, or just CultureSpaces.

Registering/Login as a member

First timers, please click the Register for a new account link on the homepage. Once you have completed the registration, you will be sent a confirmation email. Click the link in the confirmation email to confirm your registration and set your password. To log in as a registered user, simply enter your username and password in the Login fields.

Creating your own CultureSpace

After your registration is complete, you can create your CultureSpace by clicking on "Create your own CultureSpace" link. If you decide to do this later, you must activate your account first by clicking on the link provided in the confirmation email.

Adding Resources to a CultureSpace/SubjectSpaces

As a registered member, you can always add resources to your own CultureSpace or SubjectSpace whether you find them as a search result or received them by email from a friend. At the bottom of each Resource there is an "Add to my CultureSpace" link that you can click to save the selected Resource to your CultureSpace. When you add a resource to your CultureSpace, you’ll be asked to select a SubjectSpace to file it under -- or create one. SubjectSpaces help you organize your Resources the way you want -- by subject, title, grade level -- it’s your call. Use descriptive names to label your SubjectSpaces for easier reference later.

Creating SubjectSpaces

The link "Create New SubjectSpace" in the My SubjectSpaces section, on the right hand side of your page, enables you to create new SubjectSpaces.

Deleting a SubjectSpace

Click on the SubjectSpace that you would like to delete to open its page. When you click Delete, the SubjectSpace will be deleted.

Editing a SubjectSpace

Click on the SubjectSpace that you would like to edit to open its page. Click Edit to start editing.

Editing a CultureSpace

To edit your CultureSpace, select Preferences on upper right hand corner of your homepage and start editing. You can upload your photo and bio to customize this personal page.

Sending a Resource or your SubjectSpace to your friend

At the bottom of each Resource, you can use the "Send to a friend" link to send the URL of the selected Resource to a friend. If you would like to send one of your SubjectSpaces to your friend, all you need to do is to go to your SubjectSpace page and click on "Send to a friend". The pop up window will ask for your friend’s name and email. A customized message along with the link to your SubjectSpace will be sent to your friend. This email will also have a link to registration page, in case your friend is interested to join CultureSource.ca.

Password Assistance

Click "I forgot my password" on the Login section and enter your email or username in the provided text field.
