Created to support Grade 11 Arts, Nova Scotia.

The 11 websites help students understand the personal and cultural value of dance and explore dance professions. On the Virtual Dance Studio website, students are introduced to the basic movements of ballet and modern dance through choreographing animated dance sequences. On the Dance Glossary and Dance Forms & Styles websites, students learn about styles of dances, including traditional and contemporary dances, and can develop an appreciation of dance at a national and global level. On The Creation-Production Process and Dance History & Biographies websites, students can listen to video interviews of dance professionals and explore careers in dance. The Take a Quiz website contains quiz questions about health, anatomy, and good technique. The Write About Dance and Educational Study Guides websites enable students to write about dance and, as spectators, to “read” the scenes and movements unfolding before their eyes.
